Just Back From O-TOWN!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year to Everyone!

I was in Oakland in December for 2 weeks. I had the good fortune of spending two weeks making music in Too $hort's studio. Too $hort is someone I really look up to and I want to thank him for all has done for me.
I was honored to hear from my boy FX that Mistah F.A.B. rapped on one of the beats . The track is being mixed right now.I was really to be back in California, cause it feels like home. First thing I had to do was to go to In-N-Out Burger. I stayed with my dude Jonathan at the Extended Stay Hotel, right next to the Oakland Raiders office.

Shout outs to EVERYONE at the Youth Uprising Center!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome. It was the best being back in O-Town. And man that weather! I returned to Canada in the middle of a snowstorm. Can't wait to go back to Cali.

Heading To Atlanta for the Remix Hotel Event & The Atlantis Music Conference

On September 18th, I'm heading back to ATL for Remix Hotel Atlanta and the Atlantis Music Conference. Bryan-Michael Cox will kick off Remix Hotel Atlanta’s panel series, discussing the making of a recent track. Cox is an Grammy Award Winning producer and songwriter, who has worked with artists such at Usher, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Jermaine Dupri and the list goes on. He is High School friends with Beyoncé Knowles (from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts) and is working on upcoming projects with Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Ashanti and more. How Could I Forget Fonzworth Bentley?!!

I just realized that I forgot to mention meeting Fonzworth Bentley while I was in ATL. Fonzworth started out as Sean P. Diddy Combs personal assistant. After working for Diddy for almost two years, Bentley went to L.A. in 2002 to launch an acting career and landed a small role in the film "Honey" before receiving a call to join Diddy's MTV reality series "Making The Band 2.

Then he became a recording artist and for his debut album he teamed up with Kanye West, Andre 3000, Tony DeNiro, C.A.S.H., Faith Evans and others.

Gotta love ATL. It was great being able to meet so many people while I was there for such a short period of time.

ATL Hittmen DJ Retreat & Down South DJ Awards

Last night I went to the Down South DJ Awards. My friend Hopeton, (who came on the trip with me from Toronto) and I met all kinds of people. My man Malcolm McKenzie, from ATL was right by our side. Being the good manager that he is. Then today we went to the panel at the Hittmen Dj Retreat. I had a chance to talk to Producer Danja again.

Today I met someone from the industry that I really respect and admire. His name is Danja, and he is a Grammy Award Winning Record Producer, Song Writer and Composer. He was protégé of producer Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley. He was a real cool dude. He has produced for Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Mariah Carey and more. Anyways I met him at the Hittmen Dj's Retreat. I'm about to head to the Hittmen Award Show. Gotta get ready.

A Good Day!!!

I met up with Kenny from J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and MAN!!!! it was a good night. I went to the studio, played him some beats, chilled, had a convo etc. Then Kenny started playing me some of his beats and the stuff he was working on and all I can say about them is WOW!
